If you were listening to my BBC Radio Nottingham slot last week, you’d have heard me mention that this month the ‘Great British Walking Challenge’ is taking place.
Living Streets, the UK based campaigning organization for pedestrians and public spaces, are urging everyone to log all their walking activity, whether it’s to or from school or the commute to work or walking the dog, on their website www.livingstreets.org.uk/ to see how may times everyone can collectively walk between John O’Groats and Lands End.
So why not get involved, you’ll improve your fitness, save a little money and, of course, cut your carbon emissions?
Plus, if you need a little music to help you along, how about this fabulous list of ‘walking-inspired’ songs to get those feet moving.
