Queen of Easy Green’s Review of 2011

It’s hard to believe that it’s only been a year since I first launched this site, Queen of Easy Green™ and what a year it has been!

From my first presenting role for the Energy Saving Trust, being a finalist for the MAD Blog awards, being chosen as British Gas’ blogger of the month to the excitement of being shortlisted for Red Magazine’s Red Hot Women Awards, to say it’s been eventful would be an understatement.

Along the way I have been incredibly fortunate to work with and meet many exceptionally talented and enthusiastic people and organisations, all of who share my passion for living a lighter green life.

Featuring pioneering eco campaigns, passionate local food producers, eco designers, innovative green products and small businesses who have successfully taken on the challenge of creating their own product and taking it to market, it has been my mission to show regular families how easily we can all live a greener life, whilst saving time, money and waste.

But rather than preach, my aim is to simply share this with you and then let you decide to take action at your own pace. Or as I like to put it – The Queen of Easy Green™, the nudging, not nagging guide to sustainable living.

So, before I sign off for 2011 and wish you all a Happy New Year, I just wanted to share with you a few of my highlights from the year. If you have a favourite or want to send a request or idea for a future feature, please do – I’d love to hear from you.

In the meantime, I’d like to thank all of the great people I have had the pleasure to work with this year, also I’d like to thank everyone who have contributed to our features here and on Facebook and Twitter and to wish you all have a very Happy New Year, may 2012 be a happy and healthy new year for you and your loved ones.
